SCHOOL HAS ARRIVED

School is finaly here! I have my choice teacher! She's really funny, and nice. And she has a box labeled 'orphans' where she keeps pencils she finds at the end of the day on the floor. I already adopted two! I named them Max, 'cause he came from Office Max, and #2, 'cause he's a number two pencil. :) We also have a bunch of reading stuff. And not just counting minutes, or writing a report, but doing book talks. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For my first book, I'm doing the complete and unabridged version of Little Women. So far, it's really good! Read it! Well, that's all for today, but stay tuned for more action for my school! It will come! Some day!

School Is Almost Here!

We went to see the class lists yesterday and I'm in a class with 5 of my close friends. But my best friend is in the other ALPS class! :'( (ALPS stands for accelerated learning program for students.) We have been best friends since first grade! But at least we are in the same grade, so that we can be in recess together. And school starts in three days! Ahhhhhhhhhh! But I do like school. :) That's all for now. Bye!

Mentos!

When my mom, my brother, and I were shopping, we saw a big cart of mentos! They are SO yummy. We bought 7 or 8 packs! They are also a scientific inspiration. In mini classes one day, a mom showed us an experiment. You dump a mento or two into a two liter bottle of root beer, and it explodes! It was so awesome! About a year later, a church friend told us about a web site he was looking at a while ago. Two people had done an experiment, putting different candies into different sodas to see what made the biggest explosion. So I'm thinking that I might do that for my Science Fair this year! :) Mentos are yummy AND scientific. Yeah for Mentos!

Guinea Pigs!

It has been my life long dream to be a vet, and a slightly shorter dream to have a pet! My mom, Alisonwonderland, is allergic to fur, and doesn't really like, in fact, despises reptiles, and I do NOT want a fish, so I collected stuffed animals. I have over 100! Anyway, I begged and begged, and my mom says that if the whole house was clean and the basement was finished, she would think about letting me get a Guinea Pig. So I've done my research, and my chores, though it's going to be a little less than a year till everything's perfect. But, if it ever happens,it would be a dream come true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PVC stinks!

As I was looking at sites about Guinea Pig toys, I noticed that one of the toys was plumbing pipe. I clicked on it, and discovered that PVC pipe was the most environmental damaging plastic in the whole world! People use it because it's so strong. Unfortunately, that's one of the reasons that it's so damaging. It takes years and years to break up, so it damages the soil and adds to the trash piles. :'( So recycle TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
